  Instructor was cool. I had the privilege to be the only client so it was like private session. I enjoyed the dive as being my first one and confident with the instructor. They also rent equipment.

  3) La-Morena centre also accepts normal medical statements and runs discounts for multiple dives so my initial estimate of the pricing obtained from their web site was 265EUR per 5 dives (their site also offered 6 dives for 290EUR, but prebooking was needed) so I happily accepted a bit more expensive than MDS quote. The dives itself were very nice and interesting so I have enjoyed the experience very much but they do not provided me the final price up to the last day of diving. And the final price was disappointing – they surcharge for a boat usage (how would one have a dive without a boat – they do not offer a choice on a day?) and for 12 litre air tank, so the final price for 5 dives was 312EUR rather than expected 265. This left me feel conned which spoiled all nice experience.

  3) MDS diving school – queried dives with them but as they were oversubscribed and there were no places for couple of the following days after my arrival ended up with 2 which was probably a wrong decision.

  Cala d’Or is a diving paradise, so I hope to come there next time but will probably try to look at MDS first.

  From other side they organized the cheapest I’ve seen recording session for the course (10 euro) so their offer may be attractive for beginner divers.

  2) Girl from MDS was nice and friendly and quoted me 100 euro for two dives in a day with their equipment, dive insurance and normal medical statement which was the best price but as they are oversubscribed I decided to go to La-Morena who initially looked a bit more expensive but were ready to accept me next day.

  1) The Tauchschule centre was two steps from my accommodation so I have initially contacted them. Nice people and organized nice introduction course for my sun though their resort course is very trivial and not interesting for a diver with any experience (its rather advanced discover scuba course, where they do not go deeper than 6 meters, so I usually do such dives using snorkel) When I asked for more advanced diving, they demanded written statement from my doctor, and were not satisfied by normal medical statement which is a common practice (if you answer no to all questions in a medical statement a doctor would not be able to find anything wrong with you while if you have any yes in this statement, it would be better for you to go to a doctor by yourself). As they demanded a doctors decision and suggested to go to their friendly doctor (for fee, of course) I moved to more sensible people.
